Jacksepticeye has confirmed that there's plenty of pressure on his shoulders to nail the recently announced Bloodborne movie adaptation, both for himself and for the fans.
Earlier this month, Sony Pictures announced that an animated adaptation of the FromSoftware favourite is in the works, with Irish YouTuber Séan McLoughlin – better known as Jacksepticeye – set to produce.
At the recent BAFTA Games Awards, where McLoughlin was in attendance as part of the cast of Dispatch, he told Radio Times Gaming about his hopes and fears for the project.
"I'm just super excited that anything Bloodborne is being talked about or being mentioned again in 2026," he began, "especially after people heard news of Bluepoint [Games] being shut down, which is awful.
"And Sony were saying they wanted to do a remake, but FromSoft didn't really want to do it because they want to do it themselves, and different things like that. So, I think people were very sad about anything Bloodborne-related, so now I'm like, 'Here, let's celebrate a win.'"

"[It brings] all the pressure in the world. It's terrifying. Part of me is like, 'I want to do this because it's my favourite game ever made, and anything Bloorborne-related is a win, and gamers want and need it', but at the same time like, 'Oh God, what I did I do to myself?'
"The fans are very passionate and very intense about anything FromSoft-related. But I think that's good – it keeps us focused. That's my job, is to keep the project focused and try and make it as good as possible, and lean into that passion and invite the players in to try and like, craft something that is worth that franchise.
"So, all I can say is that I will try my absolute best, and I think we'll pull off something cool."
On whether he will be asking fellow YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Markiplier for any tips, McLoughlin said in a faux serious tone, "No. This is my thing. I have to figure it out on my own and do it on my own."
He added, "The team we have around me already are incredible. I mean, that's kind of my job to figure out who those people are," before laughing, "I can handle it, I'll do it."
