Kalen DeBoer gives update on WR Noah Rogers after A-Day injury

Alabama wideout Noah Rogers left Saturday’s A-Day scrimmage on a cart after suffering a lower-body injury.

After the scrimmage ended, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said Rogers will get an MRI in the coming days. DeBoer didn’t have much else to add beyond that.

“He will have to get evaluated. Unfortunate with him getting dinged up. We’ll kind of see what that looks like,” DeBoer said. “We’ll have more information here as we go through the spring and summer.”

Rogers left the field with his left leg in a brace on Saturday. The injury happened on an incomplete pass in the endzone when Rogers fell looking to make a play.

The 6-foot-2 wideout from Raleigh, North Carolina, spent 2 seasons with NC State before transferring to Alabama this offseason. He put up 919 yards and 3 scores as a member of the Wolfpack, but he was looking to have a bigger impact in Year 1 with the Tide.

Early indications were positive. Rogers was reportedly enjoying a strong spring. The Tide are still in need of a third receiver to step up alongside Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzeir Brooks.

Beyond Rogers, Alabama has Rico Scott, Derek Meadows, and former 4-star freshman Cederian Morgan.
