Good Omens season 3 is set to take the storyline way beyond the events of the book – and now we have some clues about what that might entail.
Season 2 left us on a heartbreaking cliffhanger, with David Tennant's Crowley and Michael Sheen's Aziraphale reluctantly going their separate ways after confessing their feelings to each other and sharing a kiss.
Now, a poster for season 3, which will consist of one 90-minute finale, has teased how that thread may continue – and it doesn't look good.
Crowley and Aziraphale are seen standing separately, on two precipices. Crowley's side is clearly meant to be reflective of hell, with fiery threads seeping out, while Aziraphale's features a heavenly scroll overhanging the edge.

We can also see plenty of props from the show making an appearance. On Crowley's side, there's a sign for Whickber Street (where Aziraphale's bookshop is located), a snow globe, and stacks of books.
There's also a drooping plant, a half-eaten pizza, and what looks like a sleeping bag. It seems the pair's split isn't going well for the demon.

All in all, the pair seem surrounded by destruction. In the middle of them, though, is a strong beam of light – hopefully indicating that there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Fans have also noticed the pair's wings. Aziraphale's no longer look pristinely white, while Crowley's are lighter than normal, with hints of white in there – presumably a visual reminder that nothing is black and white, even the forces of Heaven and Hell.
Few plot details have been confirmed about the finale, although Sheen previously teased: "There’ll be bits you absolutely love and there’ll be things you’ll argue about of course. It should have been 6 episodes but it’s not.
"Thank God for what it is. Brilliantly directed, beautiful performances, fantastic new looks, incredible work all round. And there’s nightingales."
Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.
A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.
Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in "rough" sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.
He said: "As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don't, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
"I'm far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever."
Good Omens season 3 will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May 2026.
