The countdown to the finale of Next Level Chefcontinued tonight when the Top 9 chefs faced another first-time challenge in the competition: cowboy cooking.
All three teams -- Gordon Ramsay, NyeshaArrington and Richard Blais – are equal with three remaining chefs each.
The team that delivered the best dish last episode was Team Arrington, so they were in the top kitchen tonight. Team Gordon had the eliminated contestant, so they were in the basement.
Then two chefs – one each from the bottom two teams -- as selected by their mentors had to cook against each other in the elimination challenge, where, for one chef, their Next Level Chef journey ended.

The night’s challenge required the nine chefs to channel their inner cowboys and saddle up for a true test of technique as they elevated rustic ranch-style dishes to the next level.
The winning chef was Gabrielle from Team Gordon.
She said, “I am so proud of myself. I led my team to safety on the last day that I could and it feels so damn good.”

Richard chose to send Jared into the elimination challenge, because his protein was slightly over cooked. and Nyesha chose Machete because his dish was the least effective of the three dishes on her team.
The elimination challenge was 25 minutes to make an elevated King salmon dish.
The chef that cooked his final dish in the Next Level Kitchen was Machete.
“I’m speechless,” he said initially. Then added, “I literally conquered my dreams. I came here and did it. Whether or not I made it, I’m still a winner in my book. I never cry, so for me, these are not sad tears. They’re happy tears knowing that I did it.”
