Wednesday season 3 is adding even more icons to its cast, with Game of Thrones and Ted Lasso stars now joining the fray.
Lena Headey (known for her role as Cersei Lannister in the HBO fantasy), St. Elmo’s Fire icon Andrew McCarthy, and Ted Lasso star James Lance are joining the show as guest stars. No further details have been announced about their characters just yet.
The trio is joining the previously-announced Eva Green (who's playing Aunt Ophelia), Winona Ryder (Tabitha), Chris Sarandon (Balthazar), Noah Taylor (Cyrus), Oscar Morgan (Atticus), and Kennedy Moyer (Daisy), making for an already-stacked cast list.
Season 3 began production in February this year in Ireland, with key cast members including Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Emma Myers (Enid), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Fred Armisen (Fester) and more returning.
Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough previously told Tudum of season 3: "Our goal for season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can."

Meanwhile, the legendary Tim Burton, who works as an executive producer on the show, stated: "I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah … makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky."
Season 2 saw Wednesday return to Evermore as a reluctant celebrity, faced with a mysterious stalker, and deal with a new supernatural mystery - all while attempting to protect Enid, whose death she foresaw in a vision.
Season 3 will presumably take us to even darker and more mysterious places - with more details to come in the future.
