Beyond being perhaps the biggest video game ever to exist, Grand Theft Auto 6 will reportedly make some players millionaires, new rumours allege.
Thirteen years on from the release of GTA 5, we are finally mere months away from the launch of GTA 6, with anticipation for the game growing by the day.
But beyond the gameplay, graphics and even a massive new dialogue system, one area of the game that has sparked some very interesting rumours is user-generated content (UCG).
A recent interview with Hiphop Gamer revealed that, as well as rapper Freddie Gibbs featuring in the game, GTA 6 will give players a means of making money through UGC.
"You’ve never seen a game like this, and this game will produce millionaires," he explained to PC Gamer.
"We're living in a time where UGC is a major thing. It's wise and it's worth the wait, because when it does come – especially on PC – if you thought GTA 5 was crazy, especially with the RP servers and everything that they're doing, you ain't seen nothing yet.
"And like I said, it will produce millionaires."
GTA Online and its dedicated RP community have become a core part of the GTA experience in the years since GTA 5's launch.
Rockstar continues to support the mode, continually adding new events and missions, pushing players to keep playing all the way until the launch of GTA 6.
Considering the sheer scale of the world that GTA 6 is set to offer up, we can only speculate as to the things that will be possible in this new era of GTA Online.
It is therefore perhaps unsurprising that Rockstar will be relying on UGC to help supplement its own official content, and with the amount of money the game is set to make, a few players becoming millionaires doesn't seem as shocking as it may have been back in 2013.
