Chicago police are searching for four people in connection with the homicide of a 25-year-old man in the city’s Avondale neighborhood last month.
The homicide was reported at around 3:19 a.m. on March 24 along West Belmont Avenue near North Milwaukee Avenue.
According to Cook County Crime Stoppers, the victim, identified as Alexander “Zander” Kazanowski, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Kazanowski’s cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma, consistent with a deadly beating.
Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible.
“This was a brutal and senseless act of violence. Someone in the community knows what happened, and we are urging them to do the right thing,” Paul Rutherford, executive director of Cook County Crime Stoppers, said in a news release. “You can remain completely anonymous, and your information could help bring justice to Zander’s family. We will not stop working until those responsible are held accountable.”
