A popular suburban attraction has announced some major changes “in light of recent events.”
Slick City, self-described as the “world’s first indoor slide park,” announced on social media this week that it would implement “updated policies to ensure a safe and family-friendly experience.”
The moves come “in light of recent events at other entertainment venues in our community,” though it did not specify which events it was referring to.
“At Slick City Orland Park, the safety and enjoyment of our guests remain our top priority,” the message began.
went on to say that oversized bags would not be permitted inside the park, ID checks will be done at the front entrance and all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 25 or older.
“Please do not drop off minors who do not meet these requirements, as they will not be permitted to enter,” the message stated.
Beginning this weekend, online reservations will be the only slots available, with walk-in tickets ending after 4 p.m.
“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to make Slick City Orland Park a safe, fun, and welcoming place for all,” the message ended.
The park first opened in October 2025 following its first Illinois location in Aurora in 2024. The Orland Park location took the place of Gizmo’s Fun Factory, an “indoor fun zone” with an arcade.
