The directorate called on the people to remain in safe locations, avoid areas prone to flash floods and valleys, and refrain from swimming in them. It stressed the need to adhere to instructions disseminated through various media outlets and social media platforms. This follows forecasts from the National Center for Meteorology regarding continued thunderstorms hitting across most regions of the Kingdom until Friday. The NCM stated that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in the Makkah region, leading to flash floods, hail, and dust storms from Tuesday to Friday. The areas experiencing rainfall in the Makkah region include Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Turabah, Al-Muwayh, Al-Khurmah, and Ranyah. The Riyadh region will also be affected by moderate to heavy rain, leading to flash floods, hail, and dust storms, and these include the areas of Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Sulayyil, and Al-Aflaj. Light to moderate rain is expected in the capital city of Riyadh, as well as in Al-Dilam, Al-Muzahmiyah, Dhurma, Marat, Shaqra, Thadiq, Huraymila, Al-Diriyah, Rumah, Al-Rayn, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Al-Ghat, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majma'ah, Rumah, Afif, Al-Dawadmi, and Al-Quway'iyah. The NCM stated that the regions of Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan and Najran will be affected by moderate to heavy rains, leading to flash floods and hail, and light to moderate rains in the regions of Al-Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, and Al-Jouf, and the northern and eastern borders of Saudi Arabia.
