The new murder mystery You’re Killing Me is set in a quaint colonial town in New England, according to the official release. Shields plays Allie Chandler, a "bestselling novelist who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and podcaster to find the killer of a close friend."

Actor Amalia Williamson will play Shields' partner in crime, a writer/podcaster named Andi Walker, who is described as a "sassy Girl Wonder who was once an up-and-coming celebrity." Actor and director Tom Cavanagh also joins theYou’re Killing Me cast as Jack Kerrigan, the new lead detective of the Founders Cove Police Department, who is described as "a former city slicker who is trying to acclimate to the quirks of small-town life."
