On Saturday, April 4, Whitney Thore's longtime friend and fellow TLC star took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news.

"Luby Francis Bell IV coming this October!" the soon-to-be dad captioned his update. In the featured image was a sonogram positioned in a basket of flowers. A second shot showed a cake with blue icing in the middle, while the third and final photo showed Courtney and Buddy smiling while sitting at a table with family.
Similarly, Courtney wrote on her Instagram grid, "Baby Boy Bell ?? due October 2026."

However, Season 13 of the show revealed a growing estrangement between the TLC star and some of her friend group. None of the cast members have responded on Instagram to the birth announcement, as of writing.
Also in Season 13—which premiered in July and ended in September 2025—Whitney, who has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), explored the idea of starting a family of her own. She tried artificial insemination in an attempt to get pregnant but did not get a positive pregnancy test by the end of the season.
