After a one-week hiatus, Next Level Chefreturned to FOX tonight when the Top 10 chefs faced another first-time challenge in the competition: The platform became a pub complete with beer taps!
Gordon Ramsay still had four team members remaining, while Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais each had three.
The team that delivered the best dish last episode was Team Arrington, so they were in the top kitchen tonight. Team Blais had the eliminated contestant, so they were in the basement.
At the end of the night, two chefs – one each from the bottom two teams -- as selected by their mentors had to cook against each other in the elimination challenge, where, for one chef, their Next Level Chef journey ended. The challenge was to grab a mug of beer or ale off the platform and then pair proteins perfectly with the poured beer to create delicious dishes in the “Ale's Well-Ends Well” episode.
Instead of the normal mid-cook platform drop, a twist was added for the second drop of the night. The chefs each got one ball and one shot in a classic game of beer-pong in order to win more ingredients.
The winning chef was Connor Caine for the second week in a row with a lager-glazed chicken with charred corn and bone-marrow succotash, keeping Team Arrington in the top-level kitchen next week.

Gordon chose to send Amber into the elimination challenge, and Richard chose Darian.
The elimination challenge was 25 minutes to cook a dish using champagne that would keep them in the competition.
The chef that cooked her final dish in the Next Level Kitchen was Amber.
“It’s been an honor,” Amber said. “A lot of people get their starts in culinary school or other kitchens, I got my start here. My story is just beginning. I want to keep pushing myself, taking more culinary classes, traveling the world and continuing to grow as a chef.”
