A woman was rushed to the hospital after being rescued from a house fire in the Sacramento area early Wednesday morning.
Metro Fire of Sacramento says crews responded to Leland Avenue, just off Elk Grove Florin Road, around 1:30 a.m. to investigate a reported structure fire.
At the scene, crews found flames ripping through a home and were told a woman was still inside.
Damage inside the home following the fire. Metro Fire of SacramentoFirefighters quickly searched the home, found the woman and got her out. She was then taken to the hospital.
No information was available on the woman's condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
