ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is Yellow for Tuesday as heavy rain and thunder moves through the region this morning. The heaviest rain will be clearing by 8-9am with a break later this morning into early afternoon. Temperatures away from Lake Ontario will be warm near 70 degrees. More storms then develop during the afternoon and evening with local severe storms and heavy rain possible. Need to keep an eye to the sky later today for any severe weather with heavy rain and flash flooding, lightning, damaging wind gusts and an isolated weak tornado possible. These storms will clear tonight with much cooler and drier weather returning tomorrow. Timing of storm threat will be roughly 3-7PM.
Cooler weather continues into Thursday with some showers on the increase once again. A warm front will cross the region into Friday and temperatures will warm well into the 60s for Good Friday. Mild with showers on Saturday. Easter Sunday looks to turn wet with mild weather in the morning and then falling temps later in the day. Much colder and drier next week.
