A man tried to sexually assault a 20-year-old woman near Chicago’s Millennium Park Monday morning before witnesses intervened, police said.
The incident took place just after 6:30 a.m. in the 0-100 block of North Michigan Avenue, near the city’s iconic park.
Police said a 20-year-old woman was walking in the area when a man approached and “attempted to sexually assault her.”
“Witnesses intervened and the offender fled,” police said in their release.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition, according to authorities.
A suspect was taken into custody a “short time later” and charges were pending, police said.
