Authorities say they have found a body in the Little Calumet River near where an 18-year-old high school senior was last seen.
According to officials, the body was found amid the search for Rodrigo Montes, who was last seen driving away from a group gathering over the weekend.
Montes’ truck was found upside down in the water on Tuesday morning, launching a large-scale search for the teen as family hoped for answers.
According to family, Montes is a wrestler and senior at River Forest High School.
“We’re just trying to find him,” his older brother Saul Montes told NBC Chicago. “They’ve had the dive team out here, the helicopters and the dogs, but no luck.”
Saul Montes said police found what is believed to be his brother’s cell phone in the truck, and said family was assisting with the search in woods alongside the river.
