There's some bad news going around for Fortnite fans, with three game modes set to shut down later this year.
But while the three modes are set to be axed, they're all shutting down at different times, so you might be struggling to figure out what's leaving and when.
So, to help you out, here's a quick overview of the Fortnite game modes shutting down and what dates they're being cut.
Which Fortnite game modes are shutting down?
The three Fortnite game modes being shut down later this year are Rocket Racing, Fortnite Ballistic and Fortnite Festival Battle Stage.
Unfortunately, while all of these game modes certainly have their fans, it just seems like they aren't worth Epic Games' time to support.
That's especially true considering the gaming giant has just laid off more than 1,000 employees.
But when do these three modes leave? Here's what you need to know.
When does Rocket Racing shut down in Fortnite?
Rocket Racing will be removed from Fortnite in October 2026.
In the run-up to this, the game will no longer feature Rocket Racing Quests, the track creation template in UEFN, or Ranked rewards available.
Fortunately, if you already own plenty of items in the mode, your Vehicle Locker will be left alone, and you can continue to drive your customised cars until the mode is removed.

Until then, ranked Ballistic will continue to run, so that players can finish off the very last season of the mode.
Furthermore, UEFN developers will be pleased to know that first-person shooter tools will remains to help developers build modes in the future like Ballistic.
Extra tools such as custom weapon support, ranked support and additional matchmaking features will also be added to UEFN.
When does Fortnite Festival Battle Stage shut down?
Fortnite Festival Battle Stage will go offline on 16 April 2026.
Until it does go offline, Quests will remain available for players to complete.
It should be noted that this does not mean the end of the Fortnite Festival Main Stage or Jam Stage, with Epic Games confirming that both of these modes will continue to receive support beyond Battle Stage's demise.
