As the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools communities prepare for spring break, local high schoolers are planning for a special annual event: Project Graduation! The night-long party returns on June 13 for its 34th year with a candy-land theme to celebrate the graduating seniors and allow people to safely have fun.
East Chapel Hill High’s Ellie Zerden, Carrboro High’s Aylin McGowan, and Chapel Hill High’s Natalie Fitzhugh are Project Graduation’s student co-chairs. The trio join 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell to share details about this year’s event, the history of Project Graduation, how they got involved and how community members can help support the planning board.
Visit the Project Graduation website to learn about donations, volunteer options, ticketing and more!
