Fans of Carley Fortune’s beloved book Every Summer After won’t have to wait much longer to see its Prime Video TV series adaptation, Every Year After.
The streaming platform announced the show’s release date and unveiled first look photos from season 1 on Monday, March 23.
“Welcome to Barry’s Bay,” the official Prime Video Instagram account captioned its Monday post. “Every Year After, based on Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, premieres on June 10.”
The accompanying photos offered fans a sneak peek at the beloved characters from the 2022 romance novel. Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett flaunted their chemistry as main characters Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, respectively. In one picture, Percy rested her head on Sam’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around his as he placed his hand on her knee. In another image, the pair appeared to be close to kissing, with Sam’s hands framing Percy’s face and her hands on his waist. The besties also shared a laugh in the kitchen at his family’s restaurant.

Other photos shared by Prime Video offered a glimpse at the rest of the cast, including Michael Bradway as Charlie Florek, Aurora Perrineau as Chantal, Joseph Chiu as Jordie, Abigail Cowen as Delilah and Elisha Cuthbert as Sue Florek.

“Told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay—the quintessential lake town—Every Year After is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever,” the logline for the series reads.
All eight episodes of season 1 will be released on Prime Video June 10.

Others pointed out that Every Year After will arrive on Prime Video nearly one month after the May 13 premiere of Off Campus, a TV adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance book series.

Fortune’s book Every Summer After spent 16 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and has sold 1 million copies to date. The romance novel follows best friends Percy and Sam, who reconnect in Barry’s Bay after a falling out. The story is told over the course of six summers in the past and one weekend in the present as the pair try to figure out whether they can rebuild their fractured friendship into something more.
Fortune is also the author of 2023’s Meet Me at the Lake, 2024’s This Summer Will Be Different and 2025’s One Golden Summer as well as Our Perfect Storm, which will be released on May 5. Netflix adaptations of Meet Me at the Lake and This Summer Will Be Different are also in the works.
