A welfare check at a home in Crete Township early Monday morning led to the discovery of a triple homicide, with the Will County Sheriff’s Department investigating and a person of interest in custody.
About 2 a.m., the Will County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a welfare check at a home in the 3400 block of Norway Trail, a news release said. When deputies arrived, they found the bodies of three adults — two men and one woman –inside.
The incident appeared to be domestic in nature, authorities said, with a person of interest in custody and charges pending. There was no threat to the public.
Early Monday morning, the sheriff’s office alerted the public to the active investigation, saying deputies would be in the area.
