The first period came and went as though the in-arena entertainment was the most important part of the afternoon. The Blackhawks out-shot the Predators 10-9 and had the game’s only power play, which was unsuccessful. Natural Stat Trick indicates there were high danger chances in the first period… I’m not sure remember any.
The second period was more entertaining, largely because there were three goals scored. But Spencer Knight was really good when he needed to be — and was busier (Nashville had a 14-11 shots on net advantage in the second).
The Blackhawks took two penalties in the first eight minutes of the third period and it cost them. Just after the second penalty expired, Steven Stamkos tied the game at two. And that’s where the score stayed until the end of regulation.
The Preds won the game in overtime when Andre Burakovsky got out-muscled behind the Hawks’ net and gave the puck away.
Star 1: Connor Bedard
Bedard had a few nice chances early, but when Ryan Greene hit him with an outlet and he was alone dancing with the goalie, it was spectacular.

Lardis was in the starting lineup with Frank Nazar and Tyler Bertuzzi. They were on the ice for 3:49 of 5-on-5 time in the first period and had a 4-0 advantage in shot attempts and shots on net. Lardis was the beneficiary of some Plinko luck and got the Blackhawks on the board first. A really nice game overall for that line.

— BHF (@BlackhawksFocus) March 22, 2026Star 3: Spencer Knight
Knight stopped 29 of 31 in regulation and made some impressive saves when they were most needed to keep his team in the game when the offense disappeared in the third period.
Key Takeaways
Matt Grzelcyk left the ice favoring his left shoulder after a seemingly nothing shove after a whistle with about 15 minutes left in the first period. Louis Crevier returned from injury and was another strong offensive threat. Thru two periods, Crevier had a team-high six shot attempts and two individual scoring chances. Artyom Levshunov was on the ice for all three goals in the second period. While he was on the ice (14:43 thru two periods), the Blackhawks had an 18-13 shot attempt advantage; the Blackhawks had 37 shot attempts total in the opening 40 minutes. Levshunov had a team-high five hits in 23:22 in regulation. Best rush of the first period came from Bedard on the power play. This was nice, but didn’t change the score. What a rush by Connor Bedard. #Blackhawks pic.twitter.com/ZVRlfEe1UE
— Charlie Roumeliotis (@CRoumeliotis) March 22, 2026 The Blackhawks had a few absolutely golden chances in the third period but somehow couldn’t buy a goal. Sam Rinzel was really good and physical again on the back end this afternoon. He was credited with three hits in 21:04 in regulation.Hence then, the article about blackhawks 2 predators 3 ot three stars key takeaways was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
