Three Blackhawks prospects at two universities will have a chance to win a national championship, but they’ll have a tough road to get to the Frozen Four in Las Vegas.

    John Mustard, Julius Sumpf and Providence are the No. 2 seed in the Sioux Falls Region, where they’ll be joined by North Dakota (1 seed), Quinnipiac (3) and Merrimack (4). Providence will play Quinnipiac on Thursday, March 26 at 4 PM CT (on ESPN+). Adam Gajan and Minnesota-Duluth are headed to maybe the toughest region — especially for a goalie. They’re on their way to the Albany Region with Michigan (1 seed), Penn State (3) and Bentley (4). Lots of future NHL talent on those rosters, including potential 2026 No. 1 overall pick Gavin McKenna — who Gajan will see in the first game of the tournament. Minnesota-Duluth will face Penn State on Friday, March 27 at 8 PM CT (on ESPN2).
