Runners participating in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle won’t hit the streets until Sunday.
But preparations are already in motion, including street closures.
Grant Park closed to vehicle traffic at 6 a.m. on Saturday and will remain closed through 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The following other closures in Grant Park also started Saturday morning:
Columbus Dr. from Monroe St. to Roosevelt Rd. Balbo Drive from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. Jackson Blvd from Michigan Ave. to DuSable Laker Shore Drive. Congress Plaza at Michigan Ave. from Van Buren St. to Harrison St. Ida B. Wells Drive from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr.In addition, Balbo Drive from Columbus Drive to DuSable Lake Shore Drive was shut down on Monday and will remain closed until Wednesday, March 25.
