The three-time Oscar winner gifted his statue to President Zelenskyy in 2022. He received a statue from the country in 2026. The BBC shared a video on March 17 of the CEO of Ukrainian Railways Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, giving the actor a metal statue shaped like the iconic trophy from the award show.

"We learned you're missing [the] Oscars," Pertsovskyi said to Penn. "So we made this one. It's made with the rail of the rail car that was damaged by Russians. The metal survived," he later explained.
"It's not golden but it's very real and from the bottom of our hearts," the CEO said. Penn hugged him. "These are all treasures, thank you," he replied.
On March 15, Kieran Culkin presented the award on stage and accepted it for Penn. One Battle After Another took home the trophy for Film Editing, Adapted Screenplay, Casting, and Best Picture. Paul Thomas Anderson accepted the award for his directing and screenplay.
The wins come after Anderson, 55, after he was nominated for Licorice Pizza, Phantom Thread, Inherent Vice, There Will Be Blood, Magnolia, and Boogie Nights. Penn previously won for Mystic Pizza and Milk. His third puts him in a small group of actors who have won three times.
