The 2026 Southeastern Meet of Champions saw a lot of fast swimming as 37 meet records fell over the four-day meet.

Chattahoochee Gold was the overall winner on the girl’s side while Greensboro Swimming Association was the overall winner on the boy’s side.

The individual high scorers were Heba Fouitah for the girls, with 120 total points after she won eight individual events, and Greensboro’s Owen Lin for the boys, who scored 117 points after winning two events and finishing top eight in eight others.

Fouitah, 15, set seven new personal best times en route to her eight individual event wins. This is her first season as a 15-16 swimmer, and she set top-20 times this season for her age group in all her events she swam as well. She set top-10 times in both the 100 fly and 200 IM. In the 100 fly, she was 53.03 to rank 10th in the age-group. This was about a second drop from the 53.96 she swam at the Georgia High School State Championships in January.

In the 200 IM, she swam 1:58.51, which is the 9th fastest time in the country this season for 15-16 year old girls. It was also a second drop from the 1:58.56 she swam at the same high school state meet.

She won the 100 free in 49.59, a little more than two tenths faster than the 49.82 she swam at this same meet last year, and she won the 200 free in 1:46.96, a two second drop from her previous best 1:48.96 from the 2025 Georgia High School State meet. Both swims are 16th in the country this season.

Her 100 back of 53.57 ranks 17th, and was a half second drop from the 54.17 she swam at Winter Juniors in December. In the 200 back, she swam 1:56.34 to rank 20th and drop seven tenths from the 1:57.03 she swam at last year’s Meet of Champions.

She swam 24.64 in the 50 fly to rank 15th in her age group this season, dropping five hundredths from the 24.69 she swam in December. In her 50 back, she touched in 25.77, a slight add from the 25.06 she swam at the beginning of December.

She set new meet records in the 200 back, 100 free, 100 fly, 50 back, 100 back, and 50 fly.

Owen Lin, 17, did not set any top-20 17-18 times at the meet, but he finished top eight in 10 events, winning two of them and setting six personal best times. He won the 200 fly in 1:47.10, adding about two seconds from his personal best 1:45.38 that he swam in December at Winter Juniors. Despite adding, he still set a new meet record in the event. He also won the 400 IM in a personal best 3:50.85.

    Lin, who is committed to Harvard for the fall, set personal best times in the 50 free (20.11 – 7th), 100 free (44.20 – 3rd), 50 breast (4th – 26.45), and 50 fly (2nd – 22.17), and he picked up top eight finishes in the 200 free (5th – 1:38.19), and 200 IM (1:47.31).

Baylor Stanton also had a strong meet on the boys side, winning all four of his individual events and setting nine meet records (six individual including relay leadoffs and three relays).

Stanton set personal best times in all of his individual event wins, setting new top-20 times in all of them. His best performance came in the 200 IM, where he set a new personal best 1:41.62, which is the top time in the country this season for 15-16 year-olds. He dropped about a second from his previous best 1:42.85 that he swam at Winter Juniors in December. This swim moves him up to 6th all-time in the event.

    He also set personal bests and top-10 times this season in the 200 back (1:39.79 — 6th), 200 breast (1:53.36 — 3rd), and 1000 free (8:56.32 — 10th).

Stanton, a Cal commit, led off the 800 freestyle relay in a personal best 1:34.56, which ranks 17th in the country this season, and the 400 medley relay in 46.12, which ranks 5th in the country for 17-18 year olds.
