The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to sue Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani for opting out of Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) in order to play in Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). The pacer has been named Mustafizur Rahman’s replacement for the upcoming edition of the tournament after the latter was ejected earlier this year. Unhappy with Muzarabani pulling out, the PCB is planning to threaten him with the same legal action that they did so last year with Corbin Bosch.
PCB to sue Muzarabani for skipping PSL
As per Daily Ausaf, the PCB is mulling legal action against Blessing for violating his PSL contract and signing an IPL contact simultaneously. He was supposed to play for Islamabad United but decided to withdraw from the tournament and instead play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2026.
Blessing was one of the top contenders to replace an ousted Rahman, and KKR confirmed the reports. He pacer came in as a temporary replacement for Lungi Ngidi for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025. During the IPL 2022 season, he was also the Lucknow Super Giants’ net bowler. Blessing had followed KKR and Andre Russell, the power coach, on social media, which further fuelled the speculation.
Last year, South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch had done the same after the Mumbai Indians (MI) offered him a contract. He left the Peshawar Zalmi and was subsequently fined and handed a 1-year ban from the PSL.
