RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued on Monday orange and yellow weather alerts across several regions of the Kingdom, warning of rainfall, strong winds, and reduced visibility in multiple areas.The NCM issued orange-level alerts — moderate to heacy weather accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms — for parts of Riyadh Region and Makkah Region.The areas effected are Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Al-Dalam, Al-Muzahimiyah, and Hotat Bani Tamim from 12:15 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., while Riyadh city and Diriyah are expected to be affected from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.Additional areas in the region — including Huraymila, Rumah, and Durma — are forecast to experience the conditions from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.In Makkah Region, an orange alert has been issued for Adham and Maysan from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., where rainfall is expected along with strong winds, reduced visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms.The yellow-level alerts were issued for parts of Madinah Region, Riyadh Region, the Eastern Province, and Makkah Region.In Madinah, light fog was forecast in Al-Rais and Yanbu from 3:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m., with horizontal visibility reduced to between 3 and 5 kilometers.In Riyadh Region, active winds are expected in Al-Dawadmi and Afif from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with wind speeds reaching 40 to 49 km/h and potential reductions in horizontal visibility.Light rainfall was also forecast across parts of the Eastern Province, including Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, and Ras Tanura, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., accompanied by active winds, thunderstorms, and reduced visibility.In Makkah Region, Taif is expected to experience light rainfall from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., along with active winds, thunderstorms, and reduced horizontal visibility.
