Julianne Moore spent quality time with her husband, Bart Freundlich, and their son, Caleb Freundlich, during a rare public outing for the trio.
The Oscar winner, 65, posed for photos alongside the director, 56, and the couple’s eldest child, 28, on the red carpet at the 10th annual Love Rocks NYC benefit concert for God’s Love We Deliver in New York City on Thursday, March 5. Moore stood in the middle as the three wrapped their arms around each other and smiled for the cameras.
Moore looked stylish in a corduroy jacket, matching pants and a black shirt, while the father-son duo coordinated in black puffer coats. Caleb paired his outerwear with a black shirt, a button-down and black pants as Bart opted for a gray vest, white shirt and dark jeans.
Moore and Bart met when he directed her film The Myth of Fingerprints in 1996. The following year, the pair welcomed Caleb in December, while their daughter, Liv, arrived in April 2002. Moore and Bart subsequently tied the knot in August 2003.

Caleb has followed in his famous parents’ footsteps by pursuing a creative path. Since graduating from NYU Steinhardt in 2022 with a master’s degree in music, he has worked as a composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is also an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he teaches music production for animation.

In a 2022 interview with Shoutout LA, Caleb revealed how his parents influenced his passion for music.
“It definitely all started with my parents,” he explained at the time. “They always wished they could play an instrument and so they were adamant on me learning one when I was young. They were supportive no matter how it sounded.”
As for his personal life, Caleb previously announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Kibriyaá, in August 2024.
Although Moore and Bart’s 23-year-old daughter, Liv, was not present for their latest family outing, she has also ventured into the spotlight over the years. She had roles in two of her parents’ films—2005’s Trust the Man and 2009’s The Rebound—and later made her modeling debut in 2017. Liv graduated from Northwestern University in June 2024 with a degree in English and has since worked as an assistant at talent agency WME and production company Project Infinity.
In June 2025, Moore opened up about remaining involved in her adult children’s lives after they left home.
“It’s a true transition for yourself as a parent and it’s a big transition for your family, and I think the one thing that was helpful to me that somebody told me is that it is another developmental stage,” she said on BBC Radio’s Woman’s Hour at the time. “A lot of people would say to me, ‘Oh, congratulations, you did it,’ like when my kids went off to college. I’m like, ‘I don’t feel done.’ And you’re not done, you’re never done.”
She continued: “But the stage of them transitioning from your house into university or a job or whatever, that’s another place for them developmentally and it’s another place for you developmentally. So you go, ‘Oh, OK, I did this part. Now I’m in this part.’ It’s not like it’s over. But it’s like, it’s an opportunity to kind of take another step. And knowing that is kind of a way of dealing with the grief of that sort of parenting stage [of] being finished and knowing that you have another one in front of you.”
