CSK star Akeal Hosein begs Cristiano Ronaldo for help as team gets stranded in subcontinent

West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein urges football megastar Cristiano Ronaldo to rescue them from the subcontinent. The cricketer, through a social media post, asks the Portuguese footballer to send his private jet to help them to return home.

Because of the conflicts between the Gulf states and the Middle East, the West Indies cricket team is yet to take its return flight. As per media reports, the team has struck in the subcontinent. Cricket West Indies (CWI) has been in constant touch with the cricketers and the International Cricket Council (ICC) to arrange a safe way to take the team back.

As per the media reports, 5 days have passed, since the India vs West Indies match, but the Caribbean cricketers are yet to receive a return ticket. Because of the heated situation, involving Iran, some of the major air passages are now blocked. Flights are avoiding the direct air route over the Middle East.

A few days before, the cricket governing body of West Indies, shared a message on the social media platform 'X', ensuring they are doing the needful to take their players safely to their homes.

Cricket West Indies assured the safety of the team

"CWI has remained in constant dialogue with the players, team management, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) since their last match against India. While the situation remains complex and fluid due to international airspace restrictions arising from security concerns in the Gulf region, CWI assures the public that every precaution is being taken to ensure the safe return of the team to the Caribbean", the official statement of CWI reads.

was shared on the social media platform on March 5, and the India vs West Indies match was on March 1. Despite the assurance from the cricket board, Akeal Hosein seeks help from the footballer, which reflects how the players are frustrated with the matters.

Akeal Hosein and Darren Sammy expressed their frustration

"At this point, I’m better off asking Cristiano [Ronaldo] to send the [jet] and come rescue me yes", Akeal Hosain wrote this on his 'X' account.
