Say what you want, but dirty soda is here to stay. The regional concoction has exploded in popularity in recent years, with everyone from Sonic to Coffee Mate getting in on the action. For those of you unaware of what dirty soda even is, it’s essentially a combination of your favorite soda, coffee creamer, and a variety of flavored syrups that has it’s origins in St. George, Utah. The term was first coined by Swig founder Nicole Tanner in 2010 and the rest, as they say, is history. Sure, it might not be for everyone, but it’s hard to argue with the legions of fans who line up at Swig everyday to get a taste of the original.
Although it’s hardly just a Utah staple anymore with over 140 locations (and counting), the brand continues to stay true to the drink that made it famous by reimagining it in new and inventive ways. But Swig’s latest mouth puckering offering takes things in a decidedly new direction marking one of its most inventive creations to date. We give you Swig x Sour Patch Kids.
