Food Network host Noah Cappe has revisited a difficult chapter in his career—and quietly changed one number.
In August 2025, Cappe shared a candid Instagram video revealing that he had not had any shows, judging opportunities or network work in “over 14 months” following the cancellations of Carnival Eats and Best Bite in Town.

Now, in a new Instagram Story posted Feb. 24, 2026, Cappe reposted a screenshot of that Parade article—but with one notable change.
The “14” in the headline was crossed out and replaced with “20.”
The subtle edit signaled that the dry spell he previously described has stretched to 20 months.
Cappe originally explained that Carnival Eats had been canceled and that Best Bite in Town—a Food Network series executive-produced by Guy Fieri—had also ended as cable networks navigated the transition to streaming. He also cited major ownership changes in Canada between Corus and Rogers that left him feeling “lost in the mix.”

“Food Network in the U.S., on the U.S. end, things got super quiet too, and nobody called and nobody messaged,” Cappe said at the time. “After having a show for a decade on the network, I figured it would transition into other opportunities, but I haven’t even judged an episode of something.”
The update sparked a new wave of support in his comments section.
“You are greatly missed ❤️ You deserve all the good things, Noah,” one follower wrote.
Another urged the network directly: “Come on, Food Network, don’t get cute now! This man helped build this network!”

“We watch Carnival Eats every night with our preschooler!!! ❤️,” added another fan.
Food Network personality Joe Sasto, who is currently competing on Tournament of Champions, also chimed in with encouragement.
“You’re one of the best people to work with AND to watch. The host with the most! Thank you for sharing,” Sasto wrote.
The renewed attention comes as Cappe confirmed at least one upcoming booking. Newfoundland’s culinary festival Roots, Rants & Roars announced that he will return as host for its September 18 and 19, 2026 event in Elliston, NL.

While a two-day festival appearance is not the steady television work Cappe previously described hoping for, fans were quick to celebrate the news and continue advocating for his return to the network.
Cappe’s Food Network tenure included nearly a decade hosting Carnival Eats, along with one season of Best Bite in Town in 2024, where he assembled a rotating “Bite Club” of chefs including Sasto, Shota Nakajima, Aarti Sequeira, Jet Tila and Tiffani Faison, to search for standout dishes across America.
Despite the splashy debut and Guy Fieri’s public endorsement at launch, the series has not returned for another season. Since then, Fieri’s Food Network presence has only grown, with new competition series like Flavortown Food Fight joining stalwarts such as Tournament of Champions, Guy’s Grocery Games and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the network’s lineup.
For now, supporters appear determined to keep his name in the conversation.
“We love Noah CAPPE,” one commenter wrote simply.
