Morello, 61, issued a statement via Instagram to share the news, noting that he will not only be moving some of his solo performances throughout the month of May, but also canceling some shows altogether.
In his post, Morello explained how he came to the decision to join Springsteen on tour, noting that the idea sparked after the two legends joined forces for the "Defend Minnesota" charity concert, a benefit for the families of ICE shooting victims Renée Good and Alex Pretti.
"After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our 'Defend Minnesota' charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture," Morello wrote in his post on Tuesday.
"Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us the in the spirit of freedom, justice, and rock n roll."
