The Alabama native is currently a senior at Vestavia Hills High School, where she has been a member of her school’s varsity swimming and diving team all four years. In addition to competing for the Rebels, she trains year-round with Life Time Southeast Aquatic Team, specializing in sprint freestyle.
The 2025 season was a year of breakthroughs for Reid, who entered the year with personal bests of 24.43 and 53.81 in the 50/100 free before cracking the 24- and 53-second barriers to her current lifetime bests of 23.78/52.46. She also dropped from 2:05.78 to 2:00.43 in the 200 free, and given that she has swum the event sparingly, it appears to hold untapped potential as her third collegiate event.
Reid is the defending Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) state champion in the 50 free, clocking her current personal best to win the title this past November after finishing third as a junior, sixth as a sophomore, and 10th as a freshman. She also finished fifth in the 100 free with a season-best 53.48, helped the 200 medley relay win bronze with a 23.56 anchor, and the 400 free relay place seventh with a 53.41 anchor, the best relay finishes of her tenure as neither had placed higher than sixth in her previous three seasons. Beyond her individual success, Reid has been instrumental in Vestavia Hills’ rise in the team standings, with the program climbing from 22nd her freshman year to fifth this season.
Outside of high school swimming, Reid’s other standout meet was the Southeastern Championships in April. She clocked her current personal bests in the 100 and 200 free, finishing fifth in the 100 and 20th in the 200, and also posted a then-best time of 24.18 in the 50 free for 12th.
Over the summer, Reid qualified and competed at the 2025 Futures Championship (LCM) in Ocala, where she placed 39th in the 50 free (27.43), 70th in the 200 free (2:23.40), and 97th in the 100 free (1:03.14). While none of those times were personal bests, she had set PBs of 27.19, 1:00.90, and 2:20.15 at smaller club meets earlier in the season.
Top SCY Times: 50 Freestyle: 23.78 100 Freestyle: 52.46 200 Freestyle: 2:00.43A Division I Mid-Major program, the Cleveland State women took fourth out of seven teams at the Horizon League Championships this season. Her best times in the 5o/100 free would have been quick enough to make the ‘B’ finals, and her time in the 50 free would have been just seven one-hundredths shy of making the ‘A’ final as it took times of 23.70/51.27, setting her up to be an immediate contributor right from the start.
On the team’s projected 2026-27 depth chart, with fellow recruits and graduations factored in, Reid is projected to rank third in the 50 free, fourth in the 100 free, and 11th in the 200 free, setting her up to be an immediate contributor in dual meets and on the sprint free relays. Her arrival is timely, as top sprinter Gracie Chelf is set to graduate. Chelf led the team by over a second in both the 50 and 100 free this season with times of 22.70 and 50.33, and was the program’s only ‘A’ finalist in both events at the Horizon League Championships, where Cleveland State placed two swimmers in each ‘B’ final as well.
Reid joins a freestyle-heavy incoming class, which also includes Maral Batsanal (24.00/52.40/1:55.97) and Marie Lochridge (24.31/53.18/1:58.57, 55.74 100 fly), Olivia Crock (24.54/52.54/1:52.48/5:01.98), and fly/backstroker Kaleigh Mack.
