Morgan Fairchild skyrocketed to fame as one of Hollywood's most legendary blondes. Unfortunately, plenty of people thought they could take advantage of her.
The iconic star, 76, who frequently chronicles her journeys on social media, rose to stardom on shows like Flamingo Road and Falcon Crest, and solidified her stature in Hollywood with guest-starring roles on iconic series like Murphy Brown and Roseanne. But when she was just starting in Hollywood, Fairchild learned she was expected to sleep with people to get certain gigs.
"I know there are jobs I lost because I wouldn’t sleep with people," Fairchild told Fox News Digital in a new interview. "I know that, and I accept that I wasn’t willing to accept that. I just wasn’t willing to sleep with them."
"When I first moved to L.A., everyone told me, ‘If you don’t go to the right parties, if you don’t sleep with the right people, and if you don’t do what everybody does, you’re never going to get anywhere,’" she said. "Well, I don’t even drink, much less do drugs. I just never did. When they told me that’s what it takes to make it here, I thought, ‘Then I guess I just won’t have a career.’"
Of course, Fairchild defied the odds and achieved her success in Hollywood on her own terms.
"I never had to look back on anything," she continued. "I made my decision early on that I was not going to sell my soul or my pride or my dignity to succeed in this business. I might’ve done a little better if I had, but I was willing to live with that."

Over the years, Fairchild has met a variety of famous faces in Hollywood. Recently, she hung out with everyone from The Facts of Life and Palm Royale star Mindy Cohn to Good Times legend Jimmie Walker. Sporting the same bright smile and shimmering blonde hair, it’s safe to say that Fairchild has fun wherever she goes.
