"You know I kicked out Joan Collins by accident," he told the host as Norton began asking about whether or not the legendary restauranteur reads reviews. "Well, not quite by accident," Norton contended.
The Golden Globe winner was the guest of a critic named A.A. Gill who had "panned" Ramsay's now-closed London restaurant, Aubergine, shortly before. When the critic showed up, Ramsay said "Um, thanks, but no thanks," and asked them to leave.
"But Joan was his guest, and so she was furious," he laughed. And what he did next only made her more so: "They refused to go, so I just asked my mate to strip the table down to the bare wood." Fellow guests on the couch with Ramsay were stunned, with Jennifer Garner, Charli XCX, and Benicio Del Toro all gaping at the story.
"I did apologize to Joan after it," he promised, "But still to this day, she's never forgiven me."
"Oh, really?" a shocked Norton asked, to which Ramsay laughed, "No, she's fine."
Ramsay has recounted his cooked 1990s beef with the Dame in the past, and the duo put their drama to bed seven years later when Collins appeared on Ramsay's The F Word in 2009.

While she was there, he made amends by teaching her to make an omelette. "I would just love to show you something that you can turn around and say 'Yeah, hated the little schmuck seven years ago, however...'" began Ramsay. "No, I didn't hate you," Collins interrupted. "Life's too short to hate!"
The Hell's Kitchen, Next Level Chef, and MasterChef star is usually the one giving feedback to chefs, so it's no surprise that it's not always easy for him to take criticism in stride. "It's hard... when you're being judged by individuals that know less about food than you," he said, assuming it's the same for actors and singers. "Today in the restaurants, everyone's got a phone, everyone's a critic."
