The band’s Agora fan club get first dibs at tickets. That presale begins Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for the general public will then go on sale Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m.
According to MLB.com, Mumford & Sons have partnered with PLUS1 to support Children in Conflict, part of the War Child Alliance: “$1 from every ticket sold will help Children in Conflict to protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children affected by war.”
The tour wraps up Oct. 6 in Los Angeles at Kia Forum. Hit up the band’s official website for more information on tour dates and ticket sales.
Prizefighter is the band’s sixth studio album. Dropping today, Feb. 20, it features the single “Rubber Band Man,” featuring Hozier, as well as collaborations with Gigi Perez (“Icarus”), Gracie Abrams (“Badlands”), and Chris Stapleton (“Here”).
It was co-written by Aaron Dessner, one of the founding members of The National. On Instagram, Dessner shared a lengthy post detailing the journey of the album.
“I’m so incredibly excited and proud to share that @mumfordandsons’ 6th album “Prizefighter” is out today,” he began his caption. “We wrote and recorded it together at Long Pond, Mini Pond in France and at studios in Devon and Paris.”
He finished his post with a thank-you: “Thank you Marcus, Ben and Ted for trusting me to be part of your journey and sharing your incredible talent with me. I’m so proud of what we made and honored to be your collaborator — and @marcusmumford, you can drive me in and out of Glastonbury any day — still can’t believe you pulled that off. ❤️?❤️”
Per SPIN magazine, a video for “The Banjo Song” released today. Featuring Bristol dancers from Northern Soul club nights in England, and well, the strums of a banjo, the visuals were directed by the Bristol-based events collective Streets of Soul.
Further, ABC Audio shared Mumford & Sons will be the musical guest on the Feb. 28 episode of Saturday Night Live. Dang, these guys are having quite a month.
