A man in St. Cloud, Minnesota, has been charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman during a horrifying ordeal that allegedly took place at his home over the course of five days.
Marquell Steven Goree has been charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of kidnapping, according to online documents viewed by Us Weekly.
The victim, who has been identified in police reports only as “CRL,” told officers that Goree, 55, violated her over five days in December 2025, according to KNSI.
She reported the assault to police on January 30 and told investigators that she had agreed to clean Goree’s house for money, which she had previously done one other time.

Once she arrived at the home, she claimed that Goree started making unwanted advances and told her to take off her clothing. CRL said she refused and attempted to leave, though Goree stopped her by allegedly pulling out an 8-inch switchblade knife. He reportedly held it to her face and grabbed her by the throat as he told her she could not leave.
While speaking to authorities, CRL said that she was afraid Goree would kill her. Additionally, she said that Goree sexually assaulted her multiple times while she was being held captive.
CRL said Goree took her clothes and made her put on a blue bathrobe. When she had to go to the bathroom, he would escort her back and forth. She also told authorities that Goree threatened to kill her and he allegedly kept knives near him at all times.
The victim said she was eventually allowed to leave after telling Goree she had a probation appointment she needed to attend. When she finally left the home, she kept a pair of Sorel boots at the residence.
After the victim went to authorities with her claims, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Goree’s home and recovered the blue robe, the boots she left behind, a switchblade, three additional knives and other items they believed were connected to the alleged assaults.
Goree later admitted to police that CRL had been at his house. However, he claimed she was only there to buy the boots that the investigators found. He also alleged that she left the boots behind at his house because they didn’t fit her, and he said she left to attend the probation appointment. Goree also denied having any sexual contact with CRL during the time she was at his home.
Amid the investigation, authorities found a prior complaint against Goree in which his roommate reported that he frequently brought unwanted guests to their house.

Goree was taken into custody on February 11 and currently remains behind bars, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly.
It is not immediately clear if Goree has entered a plea or retained legal representation in light of his arrest, and his next court date has not been publicly revealed.
The St. Cloud Police Department did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the incident.
