Windsor’s Reagan Annable claims 4A state diving title

In the third time in as many years that she found herself staring a potential state title right in the face, Windsor senior Reagan Annable just wasn’t going to be denied again.

After being the runner-up in one-meter diving during the Class 4A girls swimming and diving championships each of the past two years, Annable finally claimed the gold medal she had long coveted Thursday afternoon in Thornton.

Annable set a meet record with an 11-dive score of 588.2 points to top the podium at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center.

To the Windsor coaching staff’s recollection, Annable is the first girls diving state champion in Windsor High School history.

Golden’s Myranda MacMillan scored 574.6 total points to place second. She led for much of the competition before Annable took command in the later rounds.

Pueblo South’s Autumn Zumpf was a distant third with 515.8 points.
