A Wisconsin man was arrested after he stabbed his “friend with benefits” 22 times, and police revealed that he texted her daughter afterwards to tell her about the murder.
Police with the Milwaukee Police Department arrested Mile Dukic on February 5 after officers responded to the apartment he shared with victim Amanda Varisco in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dukic, 39, let the officers into the apartment, where they found Varisco, 44, “unconscious and not breathing” on the floor, according to a criminal complaint viewed by Law & Crime. The responding officer attempted to perform CPR on Varisco, though she was already dead upon their arrival.
Dukic reportedly told the officer, “I didn’t want to do it.”

Varisco’s daughter and her boyfriend tried to get into the apartment before the police arrived, according to the criminal complaint. Police said Varisco’s daughter told them she received texts from Dukic, in which he said that he “killed” her mother.
“[S]he was disrespectful and mean,” Dukic allegedly said in the texts, claiming that she was talking to another “dude” on the phone. Dukic also alleged that Varisco told him to “[shut] the f**k up” while she was on the phone with the other man.
Dukic reportedly told Varisco’s daughter, “I think she [is] dead.”
The daughter was with her boyfriend when she received the texts on the night of February 5, and the couple immediately called 911 before they headed to Varisco’s apartment.
The boyfriend told police that when he tried to get Dukic to open the door, Dukic allegedly refused and said, “I already told you she’s gone. I’m not letting you in.”
While speaking to detectives, Dukic said that he and Varisco weren’t in a romantic relationship but occasionally had sex. Dukic added that Varisco was on the phone with another man and wanted to leave to see him on the night of the stabbing. Dukic told police that he did not want her to leave, which sparked an argument between him and Varisco.
As the fight escalated, Dukic punched Varisco “with a closed fist” and she fell to the ground. He told police that he continued to punch her until she “appeared to be unconscious.” Dukic then said that he got a knife and started stabbing her in the chest and torso.
Following Varisco’s death, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner looked at her body and determined she was stabbed 22 times in the chest. Additionally, defensive wounds were found on her hands and arms.

Dukic appeared in court on Tuesday, February 10, regarding the recent arrest. It is not currently clear if he has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest.
The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly that the incident is being reviewed by the Milwaukee District Attorney office.
Police said that Dukic was previously charged with felonies that included stalking, according to Law & Crime. Dukic was released from custody regarding those charges on the condition that he would not commit any other crimes. Those cases are all still open.
