Action against 47 construction companies for violating Covid-19 restrictions

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA), represented by the Labour Inspection Department, has referred 47 companies for failure to comply with Covid-19 precautionary measures. These include violations of the decision to limit the number of workers transported by buses to half the vehicles' capacity and not maintaining a safe distance between workers while boarding or alighting from buses.  A statement by MADLSA said the companies were involved in construction works in Lusail and the Industrial Area, where inspection campaigns have been carried out at worksites and workers' accommodation.
