Sweden Aquatics and Malmsten proudly invite you to the 10-year anniversary of Europe’s fastest swim event – MALMSTEN SWIM OPEN STOCKHOLM, 9-12th of April.
The competition will take place at Eriksdalsbadet in Stockholm, in a 50m, 10-lane pool. This four-day meet offers a full competition program which gives all competitors a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming European Junior Championship, European Championships in Paris and Youth Olympic Games in Dakar.
Last year was highlighted by Lukas Martens’ iconic 400m Free World Record, becoming the first man to dip under the 3:40 barrier (3:39.96) and taking down fellow German Paul Biedermann’s legendary mark.
Among the confirmed names so far for this year’s Swim Open are World Champions Siobhan Haughey, Arno Kamminga, and Danas Rapsys. Participants total around 900 swimmers from 25–30 countries, with a total of approximately 170 teams.
