Sebastian Bach is not worried about getting older in rock music. The 57-year-old singer, known for his time as the voice of Skid Row, says age has not slowed him down.
While promoting his latest solo shows and projects, Bach shared that he sees many music legends who are still performing well into their later years. For him, they are proof that rock stars can keep going strong no matter their age.
“Paul McCartney, he's doing amazing. Willie Nelson is 91 and he's rolling up joints and got his long hair, [he 's] on his tour bus and he's on the road again. I mean, 91. Geez ... Neil Young, Rob Halford, there's many, many examples of guys that keep rocking,” Bach told told Loudwire Nights.

Bach is currently busy touring and connecting with fans, showing that he still has the same passion that made him famous in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His latest North American tour, The Party Never Ends, supports his 2024 album Child Within the Man, his first full album in more than 10 years. The tour features special guest Stitched Up Heart and includes shows across the U.S. through 2026.
Sebastian Bach Reflects on Longevity in Rock Music
Bach says performing live is still one of his favorite parts of being an artist. He explained that his shows are shaped by the crowd’s energy. He has been performing this way for nearly four decades and says he still feels a deep connection with fans.
“What I've been doing for 37 years is, I feel the crowd,” Bach shared. “I feel the emotions in the room and I respond accordingly.”
During recent shows, Bach said crowds in places like Australia inspired him to perform longer sets, sometimes lasting two and a half hours. He believes fans play a big role in shaping each concert, which helps keep his shows fresh and exciting.
Bach’s career started when he joined Skid Row in 1987. The band quickly found success with hits like “18 and Life,” “Youth Gone Wild” and “I Remember You.” The group’s debut album sold millions of copies worldwide. Though Bach left the band in 1996, he built a strong solo career, releasing several albums and touring often.
His newest album, Child Within the Man, has received strong praise from critics. Many reviewers noted that Bach’s powerful voice and songwriting skills remain strong even after decades in music. The album includes tracks like “(Hold On) To The Dream,” which was praised as an inspiring anthem about never giving up.
Even with a long career, Bach says meeting fans continues to surprise him. He shared that strangers often approach him in public to express their love and support.
“You wouldn't believe how many strangers walk up to me in public and say, ‘I love you, man,’” he said. “That never gets old.”
Bach believes these moments happen because fans have followed his music for many years. He says being part of people’s lives for so long is something he does not take lightly.
Looking ahead, Bach plans to continue touring and making new music. While he is not ready to start recording another rock album right away, he revealed that he has a dream project he hopes to complete one day, a traditional Christmas album.
According to Blabbermouth, Bach explained that the album would not be a rock version of holiday songs but instead would focus on classic church-style music inspired by his childhood singing in a choir in Canada.
“It’s going to be traditional, classical,” Bach said, noting that he wants to recreate the type of music he sang as a child. “That’s something I’ve always, always in my heart wanted to do.”
Beyond music, Bach has also appeared in television shows and Broadway productions throughout his career. However, live performance and recording remain his main focus. With his current tour running through 2026, Bach continues to show the same high energy that made him a major figure during rock music’s golden era.
