Singer and actress Reba McEntire says there's been a delay in her and her fiancé Rex Linn's wedding.
In a February 1 E! News interview during the 2026 Grammy Awards, McEntire explained that they are focused on their careers, rather than their wedding plans. She referenced that she and Linn co-star as Bobbie and Emmett on the NBCsitcom, Happy's Place, which is getting a new season.
“We're still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy’s Place. And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back. [Linn] says, ‘Work comes first,'" said McEntire to the publication.
McEntire shared that she and Linn, who have been in a relationship since 2019, have been enjoying wedding planning in a December 2025 interview on The Drew Barrymore Show. She also suggested that she and Linn didn't have an exact date for their nuptials in mind.
"People say, 'When are you going to get married?' And we don't know," said McEntire, who was previously married to Charlie Battles and Narvel Blackstock. "We're loving being engaged. We love planning. So whenever we get to a point where we can take that time and be relaxed about it and plan the wedding, we'll be fine with that, too."
Reba McEntire Explained Why She Didn't Immediately Announce Her Engagement
In a November 2025 interview on The TODAY Show, McEntire shared that she and Linn unintentionally hid their engagement for several months. She explained that Linn, whom she met in 1991, proposed in December 2024. However, she and Linn decided it was not appropriate to announce their engagement amid the destructive Southern California fires in January 2025.
She then said she ended up revealing she was engaged after a reporter referred to Linn as her fiancé during the 2025 Emmy Awards in September 2025.
"She just announced it. I didn't correct her," said McEntire.
