The Denver Broncos filled their offensive coordinator vacancy Monday by promoting quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator Davis Webb into the role.
Broncos Promote Davis Webb to Offensive Coordinator
Webb replaces Joe Lombardi, who was fired two days after Denver’s 10–7 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. The move was a critical retention for the Broncos, as Webb had drawn significant interest around the league during this hiring cycle.
Denver also promoted offensive assistant Logan Kilgore to quarterbacks coach, filling Webb’s previous role. Webb, 31, becomes an NFL offensive coordinator for the first time and will continue working closely with quarterback Bo Nix, who is entering his third season after an ankle fracture ended his playoff run. It remains unclear whether Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton, who has called plays since arriving in 2023, will hand over those duties, but Webb is expected to have a major voice as Denver tweaks its offense this offseason.
Despite limited play-calling experience (Webb has called plays only once in an NFL preseason game), his reputation continues to rise. He reportedly drew head-coaching interest from the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Las Vegas Raiders, and was considered for multiple coordinator openings. For now, Denver keeps a coveted young coach in-house by elevating him to a role that could define the next phase of an offense that must take a step forward in 2026 if the Broncos are going to push toward their championship goals.

The Tennessee Titans continue to round out their new coaching staff, hiring Gus Bradley as defensive coordinator (via Tom Pelissero). Bradley reunites with new Titans head coach Robert Saleh, with whom he worked in 2025 as the assistant head coach of defense for the San Francisco 49ers.
Bradley brings extensive experience to Tennessee, having previously served as defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts, where he held the role for three seasons before joining San Francisco. He was also the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013–16, compiling a 14–48 record during a rebuild-heavy stretch for the franchise.
Bradley was considered a candidate to replace Saleh as defensive coordinator in San Francisco, particularly given his influence on the 49ers’ red-zone defense. Despite ranking 21st against the run, 25th against the pass, and last in sacks, the 49ers finished 12th in the NFL in red-zone touchdown prevention, allowing scores on just 53.8 percent of opponent trips.
With Bradley’s addition, the Titans’ coaching staff now features three former NFL head coaches. Saleh previously led the New York Jets, while new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was the head coach of the New York Giants. The collection of experience underscores Tennessee’s intent to stabilize the organization quickly as it enters a new era under Saleh.

The New England Patriots will not have a representative from their two-decade run at the top of the NFL inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. Longtime owner Robert Kraft, 84, will not be selected for the Hall’s 2026 class, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The news comes a week after it was reported that Bill Belichick, who guided New England to six Super Bowl titles, was not elected in his first year of eligibility. The full Hall of Fame class will be revealed Thursday night at NFL Honors, but neither Kraft nor Belichick reached the required voting threshold under the Hall’s revised selection process.
Under the updated rules, each of the 50 Hall of Fame voters casts three votes among five finalists, with a candidate needing at least 40 votes for induction. Kraft was a finalist through the contributor committee, while Belichick advanced via the coach committee.
Despite the setback, both figures are widely expected to be inducted in the future. Tom Brady will become eligible in 2028, while NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reiterated this week that the league plays no role in Hall voting and expressed confidence in both candidates’ eventual induction.
Kraft further strengthened his already extensive ownership résumé this season by overseeing a significant organizational reset. After moving on from Jerod Mayo, Kraft hired Mike Vrabel, making him the third head coach with whom Kraft has reached the Super Bowl, alongside Bill Parcells and Belichick.
