January 30, 2026 Casey Aquatic Center, Raleigh, NC SCY (25 yards) Results Final Scores: Women: NC State 186, UNCW 91 Men: NC State 162, UNCW 107The Wolfpack dominated at home on senior night over the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, with the women winning 186-91, and the men following suit in 162-107. Despite the loss, the UNCW’s women’s 200 medley relay notched a new program record to highlight the day for the Seahawks, whose head coach, Bobby Guntoro, is a former NC State associate head coach.
Women’s Recap
NC State opened the day with a 200 medley relay win in 1:35.72. The quartet of Meghan Donald (25.01), Eneli Jefimova (26.39), Tyler Driscoll (23.06), and Olivia Nel (21.26) led the way for the Wolfpack in their meet opening win.
The seniors took the spotlight for the Bulldogs; Katherine Helms clocked a lifetime best in the 200 free in 1:45.23, becoming the 8th fastest performer in program history.
Senior Grace Monahan was dominant in the 200 butterfly, swimming her fastest time of her career in 1:57.38, the 8th best in program history.
Kennedy Noble, another NC State senior, also climbed the Wolfpack’s top 10 list, this time in the 100 fly, where she clocked a winning time of 52.27, the 8th fastest in NC State history.
Senior Cassie Moses logged another two wins for the Wolfpack, first in the 100 back, where she charged to her fastest ever time in 52.73, over three and a half seconds better than the field. She later added the 100 free to her win total, finishing just a quarter second faster than her teammate Olivia Nel (48.52) in 48.27.
NC State’s Aubree Brouwer finished atop the 100 breaststroke to add another senior win on the day; she touched in 1:00.80, over eight tenths faster than the field.
Jefimova completed the breaststroke sweep for the Wolfpack, taking the win by over four seconds in 2:10.90.
NC State’s 200 free relay of Lily King (22.65), Nel (21.83), Erika Pelaez (21.59), and Cassie Moses closed the day on a high note, claiming the win in 1:27.68.
UNCW’s record-setting foursome of Maeren McGonigal (25.65), Gil Shaw (28.04), Cameron Snowden (22.73), and Alex Tysinger (22.43) finished 3rd in the event, but made program history in the process; a time that catapults them to the top of the Coastal Athletics Conference. The time lowers the 2023 mark from the CAA Championships in 1:39.62.
Men’s Recap
The Wolfpack men mirrored the success of the women, with Aiden Hayes (21.05), Arsen Kozhakhmetov (23,77), Drew Salls (20.42), and Jerry Fox (19.02) opening the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay in 1:24.26.
Kaii Winkler also attacked the all-time program leaderboards after moving up to 9th on the all-time NC State performers list with his 45.46.
Landin D’Ariano finished nearly three full seconds ahead of the field to win the 400 IM in a season-best time of 3:44.48, moving him up to 9th all-time in program history.
Daniel Diehl picked up an individual win on the day, clocking the fastest 100 breast time of the day in 53.57.
Salls and Bjornar Laskerud completed the sprint free sweep on the day, with Salls touching in 19.50 in the 50 and Laskerud touching in 43.72 to win the 100 free.
Hayes nabbed the 200 fly win after his massive opening split on the 200 medley relay. Hayes was untouchable, clocking 1:45.03 to continue the Wolfpack’s winning ways.
Arsenio Bustos also picked up the 100 fly win to complete the butterfly sweep on the day, touching first by just over half a second in 47.32.
The 200 free relay closed things out similarly to how they began, with NC State picking up the win; Winkler (20.45), Hayes (18.33), Diehl (19.58), and Quintin McCarty (18.39) overwhelmed the field in 1:16.75 for the final touch of a victorious day.
UNCW found success on the boards, with Ethan Ferguson finishing atop the 1-meter scores in 310.80, while his teammate Ethan Badrian earned the win on 3-meter (327.83).
