SAN JOSE – Another suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing last summer in San Jose, police said Friday.

He was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
Officers were called at 12:51 a.m. on July 20, 2025, for a report of a stabbing on Second Street near San Fernando Street. They arrived to find a man suffering from at least one stab wound.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. The medical examiner-coroner’s office identified him as Raymond Manuel Orozco, 22, of Hayward.
The death marked the city’s 15th homicide of 2025.
The suspects left the scene before officers arrived, but detectives later identified Mercedes Bette Rosales, 20, and Micaela Van, 18, both of San Jose, as suspects in the stabbing.
On Aug. 5, 2025, detectives arrested Rosales on suspicion of murder and Van on suspicion of being an accessory to murder. Both women were booked into county jail.
Rosales and Van are being held without bail at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas, according to jail records.
