DUBLIN — An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 was recorded near the city Friday morning, appearing to continue a swarm of small quakes in the area since late last year.

No damage or injuries were immediately reported as a result of the quake, which according to the U.S. Geological Survey hit about 10:33 a.m., three miles north of the city and about four miles underground.

    The quake could be felt in surrounding cities, including San Ramon, where more than 90 quakes with a magnitude greater than 2.0 have been felt since November 9, but none of such size  since Jan. 10, officials have said.

    No aftershocks were recorded immediately.
