Original "Wonder Woman" star Lynda Carter is remembering a very special day, both with sadness and love. Alongside a photo of her and her late husband, Robert Altman, Carter posted an emotional tribute on Instagram.
"Robert Altman was a powerful man, but above all, he was the most decent man I have ever known," she wrote. 'Everyone who met him can attest. 'It was a privilege to know him' is oft repeated. Today marks our 42nd wedding anniversary. I love you always, Robert."
"Our family has never been the same without you, my love," she added.

He sold the company to Microsoft for $7.5 billion just four months before his death. He and Carter married in 1984 and had two kids, Jessica and James.
Altman died from a rare blood cancer, myelofibrosis, on Feb. 3, 2021, just days after the couple celebrated their 37th anniversary.
"Our 37 years of marriage were an extraordinary gift," Carter shared on Feb. 10. "We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime. We protected each other and were each other’s champions always."

"He was the great love of my life," she told PEOPLE in 2024. "I think of him every day. There's so much of my day to day where I find myself thinking, 'Oh Robert will know.' Or if I'm on a flight, I still expect him to text to ask, 'Did you land safely? Was everything allright?"
Carter, who is also a singer, wrote a song inspired by Altman, titled "Letters From Earth."
"The soul of the song is about how you miss a person so much, because they're such a presence in your life that it's almost impossible to imagine that you won't physically see them again in this life," she said. "You wonder, 'How can I communicate with you? Where are you? You didn't just die — there's too much of you left on this earth, too many people that love you.'"
"It's a celebration of love, as much as it is heartbreaking," she added.
