Pedestrian injured in Denver hit-and-run, police say

Police are searching for suspects after a Tuesday morning hit-and-run in Denver sent a pedestrian to the hospital, according to investigators.

The Denver Police Department first posted about the hit-and-run near Harrison Street and East 40th Avenue at 7:24 a.m. Tuesday. That intersection is on the edge of Denver’s Elyria Swansea, Park Hill and Clayton neighborhoods.

    Paramedics took the unidentified pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

    Eastbound 40th Avenue was closed at Harrison Street for the crash cleanup and investigation, according to the agency.
