First announced in last year's RuneFest Summit, the next variant of Deadman Mode is finally coming to Old School RuneScape – Deadman: Annihilation.
DMM Annihilation is the next instalment in one of the most popular limited-time modes that Jagex has introduced in recent years, giving PvP players the chance to go absolutely nuts on each other for a few weeks.
2026 is a big year for OSRS, with Leagues 6 to look forward to later this year as well.
But Deadman comes first, so if you're excited for DMM: Annihilation to kick off in OSRS, here's what you need to know about the release date and start time.
Deadman: Annihilation is scheduled to begin on Friday 30th January 2026 in Old School RuneScape.
This start date was confirmed in the recent Winter Summit that took place on 25th January.
As for what time DMM Annihilation will start, while Jagex hasn't confirmed an exact time, we believe that the event will begin at around 5/6pm GMT.
This is the time that recent editions of DMM have begun, with Jagex typically preferring an evening launch in the UK to give plenty of players the chance to start playing immediately.

While that's the last day that you'll be able to get points, it's not the end of the event full stop, as players will still have the DMM Annihilation Finale to look forward to.
One day later, at 6pm GMT on 21st February, players will have the chance to duke it out against the others in their combat bracket.
Those of you who manage to make it all the way to the end will come out of DMM Annihilation with some nifty new in-game cosmetics – no real-world prize pool this year, unfortunately!
